Conservative Party joins empty homes fight
The Conservative party has offered its support to No Use Empty and the Empty Homes Agency to help bring some of the UK’s estimated 1 million empty homes back into use. The party claims its Empty Property Rescue Scheme can ease the problem of 1.8 million families struggling to find accommodation while almost 1 million homes lie empty.

No Use Empty awards £1million to renovate derelict properties in Kent
No Use Empty, the initiative which is helping to bring empty properties in East Kent back into use, has approved over £1 million of interest-free loans to home owners across the County. These loans have helped the owners to renovate almost 100 empty properties in two districts (Dover and Thanet) alone, thus creating scores of new family homes in these areas.

Council brings Thanet property back into use after over 20 years of disrepair
One of Thanet’s most well known eyesores, that had been in disrepair for over 20 years, has been brought into use as affordable housing, after more than a year’s worth of work to convert it.
